With the arrival of the second half of the Version 3.7 character warp, many Chrysos Heirs have returned. I believe everyone has also heard the news about the subsequent version updates for Honkai: Star Rail being delayed. Therefore, making wise choices in the character selection becomes particularly important. In this article, I will guide every traveler through a detailed understanding of which characters we should consider avoiding as potential "traps." Of course, all recommendations are based primarily on the character's strength. If you really like a particular character, please don't hesitate!

1. Ripples of Past Reverie - Cyrene
The characters available to pull in the second half of Version 3.7 are Cyrene, who is available for the entire version, followed by the featured characters in the second half: Phainon, Cipher, and Mydei. Let's start with Cyrene. She is a support character whose kit revolves around her Ultimate; she needs to activate her Ultimate to trigger her core mechanic, which activates the entire team's Ultimates and provides different buffs to different Chrysos Heirs.
Currently, Cyrene finds her main use in teams like Castorice's Remembrance team, Phainon teams, Aglaea teams, and the Nakexia team. However, as many players know, using Cyrene at E0 feels quite uncomfortable. Although she starts with 6 energy stacks, her Ultimate requires 24 stacks to activate! By the time Castorice's Ultimate cycle has ended three times, Cyrene might still not have her Ultimate ready... This results in a very sluggish experience when playing Cyrene without her E2 (2nd Eidolon). In daily farming, she often feels like she's on auto-battle, only really shining in high-difficulty content where she can rely on her Ultimate for a burst of power to make an impact.

Therefore, regarding Cyrene, I have two suggestions. First, for Trailblazers who haven't obtained any Chrysos Heirs, I recommend skipping her. If you don't have the core teammates, there's no need to pull for her, as the improvement she offers to other characters is indeed limited. Alternatively, go all the way to obtain her Eidolon 2, which significantly speeds up her activation time, allowing for immediate enjoyment, and also doubles the True Damage aura from her Skill. If your budget isn't sufficient, just skip her outright!

2. The Nameless Hero - Phainon
Next, the one to avoid is Phainon. As one of the main recommended DPS characters in Amphoreus, his skills have boss-like visuals and explosive damage; when his meteor skill lands, it's either you die or the enemy dies! Moreover, Phainon's investment requirements aren't high; currently, there is a budget team with Memory as the main, Bronya, and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae, and Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae was given for free to all players, so basically everyone has one.

So, if you assemble the perfect team composition by replacing Sunday and Cerydra, it becomes even more powerful. If you can also get Phainon at E2 with his signature Light Cone, then he truly becomes omnipotent in all environments. Therefore, for new players who have just started, it is still recommended to aim for E0 without a signature Light Cone for the early game.
3. Fleet-Footed Traveler - Cipher
The third one is Cipher. Honestly, the current Cipher does feel a bit out of place with the mainstream. As a Chrysos Heir from Amphoreus, she cannot form a team with her own kind but instead needs to team up with older characters like Acheron and Feixiao. However, Cipher's improvement for Acheron and Feixiao is indeed quite significant. She not only speeds up the ultimate stacking for Acheron and Feixiao, but her own ultimate, when the coins are stacked up, can also deliver an explosive output reaching over a million.

Of course, looking at the current situation, back in version 3.3, Cipher had essentially already taken full advantage of the environmental "benefits." Those brothers who pulled for her early have already had their early enjoyment. If you only "buy a ticket" during the version 3.7 rerun, to be honest, it's really not worth it anymore. Moreover, even her main team compositions, Acheron and Feixiao, are already half-submerged in the tide of the times, so there's no need to even mention Cipher, who is so out of place with the new generation of Chrysos Heirs.
4. The Last Prince - Mydei
As for the last one, Mydei, he is an Imaginary element, an HP-scaling DPS character following the Path of Destruction. His characteristics are high HP, the ability to resurrect, being extremely difficult to kill, and a fully automated mechanic that cannot be manually controlled. Although it's slightly regrettable that Mydei can only attack three targets in actual combat, unlocking his first Eidolon allows him to attack five targets with the same damage multiplier as the main target. For Mydei, this can be said to be a leap-forward improvement.

In terms of team composition, he also requires Sunday for action advance and a healer with extremely high single-target healing like Luocha. Luocha can be exchanged in the store. If you don't have Sunday, you can use Bronya or the main Trailblazer (Preservation) as substitutes. However, under the current situation where mainstream characters like Screwllum and Phainon dominate the Tier 0 spot, and considering the impact of future versions, carefully considering whether to pull for a Tier 1 main DPS now does require serious thought. After all, the principle remains: prioritize pulling for new characters over old ones.

That's all for this issue's content. I believe that after reading it, you will definitely have a better plan for this version's warp pools. The Chrysos Heirs will certainly aid you on your Trailblazing journey! Remember to keep following our articles and in-site merchandise. See you next time!
