The finale of the Amphoreus story did not unfold as we all imagined. Such a heroic struggle was not enough to support their ascension into true life, but it ultimately left us with hope for tomorrow. To be honest, as the Trailblazer, I felt it was a bit unsatisfying, but overall, we remain in a state of anticipation for the future.
However, after the great battle, when Cyrene returned to the beginning of their encounter, I believe many of us felt somewhat confused. In this article, we will simply unravel the details, striving to ensure all Trailblazers fully understand what choices Cyrene and Amphoreus made and what parts of the storyline were not directly shown to us.

1. Honkai: Star Rail – Mem, Cyrene, and Demiurge
First and most importantly, are Mem, Cyrene, and Demiurge actually the same existence? The answer is definitely "yes." In the middle of the storyline, I once thought that the Cyrene of the past thirty million lifetimes had already sacrificed herself after nurturing "Demiurge," and that the one accompanying us had always been the present Demiurge. But the final outcome showed us that, just like the external form of Amphoreus, it is a cycle where the end is the beginning.

By combining the archives of The Herta and "As I've Written," we can directly access a complete explanation. Amphoreus, from the very beginning, did not have the true existence of "Fuli" in its memory-related part; this is a causality on a larger time scale. The existence we see now in the present is the form of Fuli, who will be born in the future, projected into the past. All Pure Children of Anāsrava have the opportunity to become Fuli at the end of time; we cannot know who, but the past projection of the Aeon Fuli did not truly intervene in Amphoreus; it was a corner forgotten by him.
Even if defeating Irontomb has now become an established fact in the universe, it might be judged by that future Fuli as a forgotten memory and thus non-existent, thereby overturning the cognition in the current timeline and causing Irontomb to return.

And within this great battle that brought the sealed Amphoreus into the galactic spotlight, Cyrene, nourished by an incalculable amount of "Remembrance," became a Pure Child of Anāsrava. She is the only Fuli unique to this world. Thus, she chose to thread through all memories, mending the omissions of remembrance and closing the causal chain. Because Demiurge made the choice to look back, the future Demiurge returning to the past became Cyrene. Cyrene taught the past Demiurge what it means to love oneself, nurturing the seed to sprout. After thirty million lifetimes, the seed inherited Cyrene's appearance.
When Fuli glimpsed us in Version 3.0, the gaze actually came from the future Demiurge. The "hero in the heart" of Phainon and the past Cyrene is a memory left by Demiurge in its backward glance, using the image of our savior. And Demiurge, having lost its power, became Mem. The end is the beginning; the effect is the cause. Within Amphoreus' sealed timeline, Demiurge chose to sacrifice itself, using the "effect" to fill the missing "cause." Only thus was Irontomb's downfall formally anchored in the universe's timeline, the gears engaging, and operation commencing on the galactic timeline.

2. Honkai: Star Rail – On and Backstage of the "Pre-War Newsflash"
When it comes to the conclusion of Amphoreus, everyone must listen to the brand-new "Pre-War Newsflash" on the Express: Cyrene, using herself as a cradle, forged Amphoreus into a new memory domain world, successfully making the entire universe aware of the new planet's existence. Civilizations will subsequently evolve following the mnemic matter, while Herta and Screwllum are also working at full capacity to repair the electrical signal data. And everything about the Chrysos Heirs and Amphoreus we are familiar with has been recorded in "As I Have Written," so what is given is indeed "a promising future.

After the main storyline concludes, it involves the various factions and their future directions. The Xianzhou has indeed obtained the "Nanook's Golden Blood" left by Phainon, as we speculated, which should allow them to largely avoid the potential future threat of the "Propagation" Lightning-Lord. The campaign against Yaoshi is certainly set to take a major step forward. On the company front, the conflict between the "Ten Stonehearts" and Oswaldo Schneider has been pushed further into the open, showing clear signs of an impending formal confrontation.

What surprised me most was the first message bubble I checked after finishing the main story, featuring two of my favorite characters—Boothill and Sparkle disguised as Rappa. In an unseen timeline, they participated in the battle as Galaxy Rangers and, after the conflict, found the Trailblazer and Dan Heng adrift in space, completing the retrieval. From their dialogue, we learn that Acheron, beyond the immediate mission, also wants to help someone called the "Lame Wolf," who is suspected to be the leader of the Galaxy Rangers, break free.

Meanwhile, Sparkle is already setting the stage for her next script with us as the protagonist. The setting for this script, undoubtedly, is the "Kingdom of the Arts" proposed in this Peace Broadcast. The "Kingdom of the Arts" is a painted world where residents, with company support, are stepping into reality, boasting a rich artistic and cultural atmosphere. Currently, the "Ten Stonehearts" member, Pearl, is promoting its development. The Kingdom of the Arts is also preparing for a festival left by "Elation." We can speculate that under Sparkle's direction, the 4.0 Kingdom of the Arts storyline will revolve around factions like the Fools, the Company, and the Galaxy Rangers. This time, it should be a great comedy.
3. Honkai: Star Rail—"Cyrene" and "Demiurge": What is Divinity?
Then let's talk about Cyrene and Demiurge. Centering on the question of what divinity is, she provided an answer in her dialogue with The Herta: the truly complete divinity indeed corresponds to human nature, just as anticipated. The concept of Demiurge was originally proposed by the ancient Greek philosopher Plato, referring to the craftsman god who shaped the material world. In Plato's cosmology, the Demiurge is an existence between the perfect world of ideal Forms and the imperfect phenomenal world; it created the material world based on the model of the Forms but is not the supreme god itself, thus possessing inherent limitations.
This concept was further developed in Gnosticism. Gnosticism posits a cosmic duality: the supreme, transcendent alien god versus the Demiurge responsible for creation. The materialistic Demiurge, due to ignorance or fall, created the phenomenal world full of defects and suffering, becoming the false ruler of the material world.

Although in realistic mythology, limitations are often depicted with rather negative connotations, I believe within the context of the Honkai: Star Rail universe, they are endowed with the imperfection unique to humans. Divinity is flawless humanity, while humanity is divinity with flaws; humanity itself carries complex multifacetedness and is mixed with various emotions—I believe this is the flaw. And when one facet among the many excludes all others to achieve flawlessness, it becomes divinity. Aeons can be understood as existences where one particular facet has reached perfection, but in doing so, they lose the possibility of choice and freedom. Humanity, ultimately, is flawed. Because life is born with flaws, it chases perfection. But upon realizing there is no perfection, and upon accepting defects, life can finally reach itself and embrace freedom.

Cyrene is not some concept of "Divine love for mankind"; the underlying tone of her love is tinged with immense loneliness and sorrow: she questions, she cries, she fantasizes—this is the real existence of a flawed human. Inevitable suffering accompanies immense despair, like a massive wheel rolling over the entire world, countlessly, endlessly, yet there are still those who hold onto a great love, believing that beauty will ultimately come to the world, doing what seemingly insignificant small deeds they can within their power. They are strugglers, sorrowful ones, but ultimately mortals who can always stand up again; they are mortal heroes who rely on their own small frames to move towards sanctity, even if there is no one to tell, even if they march to their death alone. And it is precisely the gradual accumulation of these seemingly powerless efforts that ultimately props up this tottering world, allowing the paean of the past to finally resound throughout the galaxy.

4. Honkai: Star Rail 3.7 Version Summary
Over the past year, Honkai: Star Rail has had its shortcomings and flaws. But overall, I believe every Trailblazer has also harvested their own unique sense of being moved. I wonder, among all the Chrysos Heirs, who is your favorite, and which part of the story do you like the most?

Acheron once said, "It doesn't matter if fate is already predetermined; there are too many things people cannot change." But before that, on the path towards the ending, there are equally many things people can do, and the ending will thus reveal a completely different meaning. Amphoreus has further shown us that even a seemingly futile resistance, like that of a Greek hero, when the acts of defiance against fate accumulate into a qualitative change, can similarly overturn a long-determined outcome.
This concludes all content related to Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.7. The connection between Trailblazers and Amphoreus may once again be coming to a temporary pause, and it's uncertain when we will next see all our companions across the galaxy together. Of course, we cannot stop our trailblazing footsteps! Remember to keep following our articles and in-site merchandise. See you next time!
