Honkai Star Rail: Elation Team Four Key Development Points!

With the arrival of Silver Wolf LV.999 in the new version and the anniversary celebration, you probably have more and more Elation characters in your roster! I'm sure all Trailblazers are now developing their Elation teams. Today, let's talk about the key points in developing an Elation team. Paying attention to the details will make your team even stronger!

1. The More Elation Characters, the Better

The first point may seem like stating the obvious, but it's especially important in Elation teams, so it's mentioned upfront. The more Elation characters you have, the more Punchline you gain, making the team stronger. Stacking high Speed on all Elation characters also makes Aha's extra turn activate faster.

In an Elation team, a free-to-play Trailblazer: Elation might be stronger than a limited 5-star support character with their signature Light Cone + Eidolons. Therefore, the Trailblazer: Elation is a must-build! Currently, there is no dedicated Elation survival character. Once a survival slot is released, the Elation team will reach its complete form and become even more powerful!

2. Elation DMG does not rely on DMG Bonus or ATK, but on SPD

Elation DMG is not based on DMG Bonus or ATK. Some Elation characters, like Sparks and the Trailblazer: Elation, need a certain amount of ATK in battle, but that is easy to stack, and having excess ATK provides no extra benefit. Therefore, Elation teams do not pair well with traditional DMG Bonus supports, such as Bronya, Tingyun, and Sunday.

CRIT Rate/CRIT DMG, Resistance PEN, DEF Ignore, and enemy Vulnerability can support Elation characters, which is why Tribbie can still fit into team compositions. One attribute is very important for Elation teams: SPD. SPD not only makes Elation characters act faster and converts to Elation for Silver Wolf LV.999, but also makes Aha's extra turn activate faster.

Honkai Star Rail Asta

The 4-star character Asta, solely through her team-wide SPD buff, has become a top-tier support in Elation teams. If your Elation team lacks support, consider building Asta. Huohuo's Eidolon 1 provides a SPD buff to the whole team, which benefits Elation teams, so it's worth considering. A dedicated Elation survival character will likely be released in the future, so there's no need to worry too much about the lack of survival options.

3. Elation Teams: Outer Relic Set Selection for Support Characters

For support characters in Elation teams, such as Yao Guang, the preferred Outer Relic set is Diviner of Distant Reach, which increases all allies' Elation by 10%. Remember, the equipped character's SPD must be ≥ 160 to also increase CRIT Rate by 18%.

However, the 4-Piece set's effect of increasing all allies' Elation cannot stack; only one character in a team can use it. In a dual-support team setup, for example, Yao Guang + Trailblazer: Elation, the other support character is recommended to use the Outer Relic set, Messenger Traversing Hackerspace. Using their Ultimate on an ally increases all allies' SPD by 12% for 1 turn.

Note: Characters whose Ultimate targets enemies, like Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae and Tribbie, cannot effectively use the 4-Piece Messenger set.

4. How to Distribute Elation Light Cones?

There aren't many Elation Light Cones available yet, so distribution is a question. If you have the signature Light Cone, definitely use it. This mainly discusses situations without the signature one. For the Trailblazer: Elation, the recommended Light Cone is the Herta's Store option, "Elation Overflowing Blessing," which increases the wearer's ATK and boosts the Elation of the Ultimate's target (the Elation DPS). It's practically tailor-made, acting as the Trailblazer: Elation's signature Light Cone.

Main DPS characters like Silver Wolf LV.999 should use the Battle Pass Light Cone "Today's Good Luck", which increases CRIT Rate and Elation, suiting a DPS role.

Sub-DPS characters like Sparxie and supports like Yao Guang should use "Mushy Shroomy's Adventures," which increases Elation and makes enemies take more Elation DMG. Multiple Sub-DPS and support characters can use multiple copies of "Mushy Shroomy's Adventures," as the Elation Vulnerability debuff can stack.

The new event Light Cone "Tomorrow, Together" is not recommended. Using the Ultimate increases all allies' Elation by only 12% for 1 turn; the increase is small, and the uptime is low. However, don't have too many team members use "Mushy Shroomy's Adventures" either. Having all four members in a team use it is a mistake. While the Elation Vulnerability can stack, stacking too much leads to diminishing returns, reducing its effectiveness.

Elation is a new system and team composition. By paying attention to the details mentioned above, your Elation team will become even stronger.
