Honkai Star Rail: Phase 3 Warp Recommendations—Just Skip It!

Following the announcement of the Version 4.0 delay, Honkai: Star Rail's Version 3.8 will update with its third warp phase tomorrow, featuring the rerun of Aglaea and Sunday. Today, let's discuss the pulling recommendations.

1. Aglaea Rerun - To Pull or Not?

Not recommended, unless you already have Cyrene. Aglaea isn't particularly strong among the main DPS characters from Amphoreus, so from a pure strength perspective, she is not recommended. If you truly like Aglaea and already have Cyrene, then you can consider pulling, as Cyrene provides a significant boost to Aglaea.

If you do pull for Aglaea, your Aglaea team in Currency Wars will be stronger, as it will utilize your actual character investment. Without owning Aglaea, you only have access to the trial version with fixed investment, which is weaker. However, there's no need to pull for Aglaea just for this reason, because Aglaea is so powerful in Currency Wars that even the trial version can reach A8 rank.

2. Aglaea - Pull for Light Cone or Eidolons?

HSR Time Woven Into Gold

It is not recommended to pull. If you really want to, getting her Eidolon 1 is suggested. The signature Light Cone "Time Woven Into Gold" increases the base speed that Aglaea needs, boosting the damage dealt by both the wearer and the Memosprites. However, if Aglaea doesn't have her signature weapon, "Geniuses' Greeting" can be used instead, and its effect is quite suitable.

Aglaea's Eidolon 1 provides extra Energy regeneration when attacking enemies, which is a key Eidolon. Combined with the Energy regeneration provided by Cyrene, Aglaea generally won't have trouble maintaining her Ultimate uptime, resulting in a smoother gameplay experience.

3. Sunday Rerun - To Pull or Not?

Honkai Star Rail Sunday

Not a must-pull. During the early and mid-phases of Amphoreus, Sunday could still assist some main DPS characters from Amphoreus, such as Mydei, Anaxa, and Phainon. But now, those DPS characters are better assisted by Cyrene. Moreover, although Sunday remains a well-rounded support character with no obvious weaknesses, Version 4.0 is coming soon, and it's unknown what the new team compositions in Version 4.0 will be like or whether Sunday will be used in them. Therefore, Sunday is currently not a must-pull.

4. Sunday - Pull for Light Cone or Eidolons?

Both are good, but neither is a must-pull. The signature Light Cone "A Grounded Ascent" provides Energy regeneration, Skill Point recovery, and increases the damage dealt by the Main DPS.

Sunday's Eidolon 1 enables the Main DPS to ignore a portion of the enemy's DEF, with summons ignoring even more DEF, thereby boosting the damage of the Main DPS, especially that of their summons. Both the signature Light Cone and the Eidolon provide improvements for Sunday. The signature Light Cone is more versatile, while Eidolon 1 requires pairing with a DPS that relies on summons for damage. The reason they are not recommended is, as mentioned before, Sunday is used less frequently now, and it's uncertain whether he will still be utilized in Version 4.0.

5. Should You Pull Light Cone "Dance! Dance! Dance!"?

HSR Dance! Dance! Dance!

In the 4-star Light Cone warp, there is a legendary item: "Dance! Dance! Dance!" It is extremely effective, and often one copy is not enough. If you want to try pulling for "Dance! Dance! Dance!", you can try your luck in Sunday's signature Light Cone warp. As a support character, Sunday has higher versatility than Aglaea and is more likely to utilize it well.

Gacha Truth: Pull for new characters, not old ones. Moreover, the upcoming Version 4.0 is a major new version, which will not only introduce new characters but also a new Path of Elation and new Elation team compositions. It's better to save your Stellar Jade for Yao Guang and Sparxie.

If you genuinely like Aglaea and Sunday and want to improve them, Aglaea's Eidolon 1 is more recommended, while Sunday's signature Light Cone is the preferred choice. So, how do you plan to pull in this warp? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments! ~
