This week, Honkai: Star Rail will update to Version 3.8, and pre-download is already available. The Dahlia and powerful characters for Break teams will enter the warp pool. Today, let's discuss the frequently asked questions about the Phase 1 warp pool of Version 3.8. Together, we'll solve your pulling dilemmas!
1. If have Rappa or other Break DPS, should you pull for The Dahlia?

If you have any Break DPS and a complete set of Break team members, the pulling suggestion for The Dahlia is the same: if you enjoy playing Break teams, then pull for her; if you’re only pursuing pure strength, then it's unnecessary. The improvement The Dahlia brings to Break teams is undoubtedly significant. Just the ability to deal Super Break DMG without needing to break the enemy's Toughness bar alone can make the Break team much stronger.
However, Version 3.8 is already the final version of the 3.x series, and Version 4.0 is coming soon, which will introduce a new environment and new team compositions. The Break team might not remain dominant for long. You can recall pulling for Fugue back in Version 2.7 – it was very useful then, but not long after, everyone started playing The Herta teams. The situation with The Dahlia might be similar.
2. How does The Dahlia compare to Ruan Mei at Eidolon 1?

For Break teams, even at E0 without her signature Light Cone (0+0), The Dahlia is better than Ruan Mei at E1 with her signature Light Cone (1+1). Both provide a 50% increase in Break Efficiency. Ruan Mei's main role is action delay (push), extending the enemy's Broken state, allowing the Break team to deal damage.
However, The Dahlia enables the team to deal Super Break DMG throughout the entire battle. Furthermore, The Dahlia offers unique supportive effects: providing energy regeneration for Firefly, assisting Boothill with Toughness reduction, and helping characters like Rappa apply Weaknesses. But, as the saying goes, even though The Dahlia is stronger than Ruan Mei at E1, she is not a must-pull, because Break teams might not remain dominant for long.
3. Which to prioritize: Fugue or The Dahlia?
Neither is highly recommended, but if you must pull, go for The Dahlia. Strengthening a Break team by adding both Fugue and The Dahlia requires too much Stellar Jade. Adding just one, however, might not provide enough strength.
Therefore, if you don't already have Fugue, it's advised to skip the Break team altogether and not pull for either Fugue or The Dahlia. If you are really set on playing a Break team and are comparing Fugue and The Dahlia, The Dahlia is slightly more recommended, as she provides a greater improvement to the Break team.
4. Can The Dahlia and Fugue use Cipher's Light Cone and "Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat" respectively?

Yes, they can. These two characters cannot both use "Resolution Shines As Pearls of Sweat" because enemies can only have one instance of the [Ensnared] DEF reduction status applied to them; the effect does not stack. However, it is acceptable for one to use Resolution and the other to use Cipher's signature Light Cone, as they apply different DEF reduction statuses, which can coexist and stack.
5. For enhancing which Eidolon in a Break team?

In a Break team, both Fugue's E1 and The Dahlia's E1 provide significant improvements. Fugue's E1 increases the Main DPS's Weakness Break Efficiency by 50%, offering a consistent boost throughout the battle. The Dahlia's E1 allows the [Co-Dancer] to inflict additional Toughness reduction equal to 25% of the enemy's max Toughness bar, which can trigger only once per health bar of the enemy.
6. Is it necessary to build Break team as a counter card?
It's not necessary, as there may not be many environments in the future that specifically require a Break team to counter. During Version 2.0, there were many environments and enemies suitable for Break teams, making them almost a must-pull. But now we are at Version 3.8, approaching Version 4.0. The environment will undoubtedly be more favorable towards the new systems of Version 4.0 (such as the Skill Point system), and situations specifically requiring a Break team as a counter will likely be uncommon.
7. Is Lingsha still recommended to pull?
Not a must-pull. In Break teams, Lingsha can be replaced by Gallagher. If you just need a sustain unit, the freely given Dan Heng • Permansor Terrae is also quite effective.

If you don't have Fugue, you can skip the warp. If your Break team is already well-equipped, you can pull for The Dahlia. For further enhancement, consider upgrading to The Dahlia's Eidolon 1 and Fugue's Eidolon 1. So, how do you plan to pull in Phase 1 of Version 3.8?
