Honkai: Star Rail is currently in Version 3.8, the final version of the 3.x series. Today, the game announced another new character for Version 4.0—Sparxie. Whether looking at her name or her official artwork, she feels very familiar. Who exactly is she? As a new Elation character, what kind of surprises will she bring us? Let's take a closer look!

1. Honkai: Star Rail—New Character "Sparxie"

Sparxie is a limited 5-star Fire character following the Path of Elation. She is expected to join the warp pool in the second half of Version 4.0. In fact, Sparxie is the SP form of Sparkle—the name reversed becomes a new name, which is very "Elation" indeed.

Sparkle: "What is Elation? I am Elation!"

Sparxie: "Sparxie and Sparkle, the Masked and the Fool are no different. Whoever is seen, whoever is liked, that is the correct answer!" 

In the official artwork, Sparxie is holding a mobile phone, and the image displayed on the screen is Sparkle. Coincidentally, Sparkle debuted in the second half of Version 2.0, while Sparxie is set to debut in the second half of Version 4.0—both made their first appearances in the latter half of their respective milestone version updates.

Aha praised Sparxie, awarding her first place in "Planarcadia Highlight Reel Machine" and first place in "Most Likely Everywhere at Once". In the new character silhouette teaser for the new planet Planarcadia, Sparxie is the first character from the left in the image.

2. Honkai: Star Rail—New Type of "Skill Point"

We are no stranger to Penacony's Sparkle, the Quantum Harmony character who masterminded numerous events, earning the title "Director Sparkle". One of Sparkle's abilities is transformation. In Planarcadia, she becomes Sparxie, a streamer: "Welcome, 'Legend of Galactic Baseballer', to my livestream! I'm your good friend 'Sparxie'! Ready to start a dopamine-filled day?"

The name of the new Planar Ornament set introduced in Version 3.7, "Tengoku@Livestream", is also related to this streamer theme.

The spherical component features several display screens, and the person shown on the central screen closely resembles Sparxie.

It is speculated that "Tengoku@Livestream" is Sparxie's Planar Ornament set. Its 2-piece set effect increases the wearer's CRIT DMG by 16%. If the wearer consumes 3 or more Skill Points in a single turn, their CRIT DMG is further increased by 32% for 3 turns.

Consequently, Sparxie is very likely to be a Skill Point DPS. Perhaps Sparkle and Sparxie could even form a team together. The backstory of "Tengoku@Livestream" records a very Elation-aligned tale: Sparxie started a fake birthday stream to make money.

However, the livestream was hacked. Sparxie chatted with fake comments all night, while the real audience interacted with Sparxie's pre-recorded stream footage. In the end, all the streaming revenue was stolen by the hacker 

3. Honkai: Star Rail—"Sparxie" CV Introduction

Chinese CV: Zhao Shuang, who of course remains the voice of Sparkle in Honkai: Star Rail, and is also the voice of Sigewinne in Genshin Impact.

Japanese CV: うえだ れいな (Reina Ueda), who of course remains the Japanese voice of Sparkle in Honkai: Star Rail and is also the Japanese voice of Ganyu in Genshin Impact. Her representative roles also include Kanae Kocho from the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

The two new 5-star characters for Version 4.0 have been announced: Yao Guang, The Seer Strategist of the Xianzhou Yuque, and Sparxie, the SP form of Sparkle. So, what are your thoughts on Sparxie?
