Every version of Honkai: Star Rail features veteran characters entering rerun banners. However, as there are more and more ways to obtain characters outside banners, reruns for these characters feel increasingly far off. So today we'll go through a list of the characters who have gone the longest without a rerun by Version 4.3 and who have no other obtainable methods outside banners—see if any of them are ones you're waiting for?
Note: The characters included in this roundup do not cover those obtainable for free via other means; only characters that can only be pulled normally from banners are counted.
As of now, the character who has gone the longest without a rerun is still Jade, at 504 days already — she has crossed the 500-day mark. The three characters tied for 10th place haven't even reached a quarter of that time.
TOP 10: Evernight & Hysilens & Black Swan
113 Days without Rerun

These three had a simultaneous rerun in Version 4.0. Evernight got a lightning-fast rerun after her first debut in Version 3.6 — back then she was still the strongest main DPS, but now she's stepped back slightly to T0.5. As for Hysilens and Black Swan, together with the free Kafka, the DoT team is instantly complete. I wonder when the next member will arrive.
TOP 9: Aglaea
132 Days without Rerun

Aglaea is arguably the least favoured main DPS among all Amphoreus DPS units at present. She has no AoE compensation for Pure Fiction, lacks sufficient turns for Apocalyptic Shadow, and faces heavy survival pressure in Anomaly Arbitration. But setting aside high-difficulty stages, Aglaea still has a solid edge in the Currency War. Some players might still have pulled for her for Currency War runs during her last rerun, but it's hard to tell for the next one.
TOP 7: Fugue & Lingsha
147 Days without Rerun

These two both had a rerun in Version 3.8 alongside The Dahlia's banner — historically known as the "Break Fire Sale." As for players who reinforced their Break team back then, they're now enjoying a solid second wind. Those who pulled Lingsha, though — that's another story.
TOP 5: Mydei & Cipher
190 Days without Rerun

Their last banner was in Version 3.7, when Cyrene made her debut, and Phainon was also rerun at the same time. As for why Cyrene and Phainon — who entered the banner pool at the same time — got reruns first, it's simply a matter of strength and pull value. As for Mydei and Cipher, it all depends on when the developers remember them.
TOP 4: Anaxa
232 Days without Rerun

Anaxa's last rerun was in Version 3.6. After Cyrene made his stunning debut in Version 3.7, he hasn't seen another rerun since. Currently, Anaxa's strength tier has genuinely stepped up — the old weakness of lacking enough turns is effectively alleviated, and his ceiling has been raised. He's arguably the most comfortable and most likely-to-rerun main DPS on this list.
TOP 3: The Herta
252 Days without Rerun

Right after Anaxa comes the main DPS of his team — The Herta herself. Anaxa got scooped up by Cyrene's team, while The Herta is completely out of her element now. Many Trailblazers only invested in The Herta's base copy, and after over a year, that kind of build can basically only sit on the bench as a warehouse keeper — she already can't hit full score in this cycle's Pure Fiction. Until a new Erudition Path character better suited for her arrives, The Herta's rerun can pretty much be declared a long way off.
TOP 2: Jiaoqiu
420 Days without Rerun

If we're talking buffs, it's really hard to justify Jiaoqiu not showing up on the next buff list. But even after a buff, Jiaoqiu would still struggle to overtake Mortenax Blade and reclaim his spot as Acheron's dedicated support. So my guess is that Jiaoqiu's buff might be angled toward other team comps, and he'll get a rerun alongside the arrival of a new meta team.
TOP 1: Jade
504 Days without Rerun

Fun fact: among non-free Erudition characters, it's just Jade. Jade sits at a crushing first place with the only 500+ day rerun drought. While her kit is unique, it'll only be when she gets buffed and that odd ATK-scaling mechanic gets reworked that she might become a character more Trailblazers actually want.
As Honkai: Star Rail keeps adding more and more characters, for those whose strength alone can't attract players to pull, a free character might well arrive before a rerun character does.
