HSR Nihility Support Characters Ranking, Mortenax Blade Undoubtedly Number One!

With the release of Mortenax Blade in Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.3, the roster of Nihility support characters gains another powerful member. Today, we'll rank the strength of Nihility support characters. Let's see which Nihility attribute support characters can still shoulder responsibility in battle!

Top 6: Pela

Honkai Star Rail Pela

Pela possesses extremely fast Energy Regeneration. Her Ultimate applies DEF Reduction to all enemies, and her Skill at Eidolon 4 can reduce enemy Ice RES. She is a "4-star powerhouse" during the early game phase. However, compared to current characters, Pela's functionality is too one-dimensional. After obtaining 5-star characters, she is rarely used again.

Top 5: Jiaoqiu

Honkai Star Rail Jiaoqiu

After the arrival of Mortenax Blade, Jiaoqiu's role as Acheron's dedicated support was replaced. Jiaoqiu's function was to help Acheron quickly gain Dreamslaying stacks, but Mortenax Blade is faster than Jiaoqiu and possesses other stronger abilities. Moreover, it is not recommended to field both Mortenax Blade and Jiaoqiu together due to overlapping functions and vulnerability dilution. Adding Tribbie to increase attack frequency is a better choice. The combination of Mortenax Blade and Tribbie is the fastest at stacking buffs for Acheron.

Top 4: Welt Yang

Honkai Star Rail Welt Yang

After Welt's enhancement, he can reduce enemy DEF, delay enemy actions, and increase ally damage. At Eidolon 4, he can also reduce all-type RES of enemies. Whether as a support in a standard team composition or in a 3-support-1-DPS setup replacing a sustain unit, he has decent performance potential. If you already have Welt, especially at high Eidolon levels, it's completely worth trying him out.

Top 3: Silver Wolf

Honkai Star Rail Silver Wolf

After the overall adjustments and enhancements, Silver Wolf's Skill now consistently applies Weakness and reduces RES, while her Ultimate reduces the DEF of all enemies. With fast energy regeneration, she has become a usable Nihility support. Among the many enhanced characters, Silver Wolf is a representative example of a character whose buffs have received widespread praise.

Top 2: Cipher

Honkai Star Rail Cipher

Cipher can record the "coins" in the team and deal True DMG, effectively providing the team with a True DMG multiplier that does not suffer from diminishing returns and is unaffected by high enemy DEF, high RES, or damage reduction. This is Cipher's defining feature. However, her support capabilities are average; at Eidolon 0, her base kit only increases the damage enemies take. The True DMG from her Ultimate also requires manual timing. Therefore, while Cipher has a high ceiling, she is not very convenient to use.

Top 1: Mortenax Blade

Honkai Star Rail Mortenax Blade

Undoubtedly the number one. Mortenax Blade's support capabilities surpass all previous Nihility support characters. He provides enemy DEF reduction, increased damage taken, team-wide damage buffs, and with Nihility teammates, also team-wide Ultimate damage buffs. This support prowess is not inferior even to Harmony supports. Mortenax Blade's damage also exceeds that of all past Nihility supports; both his Skill and Ultimate can deal massive damage. Paired with high attack frequency teammates, he can also quickly cast his free Talent Skill. Mortenax Blade is specifically designed to synergize well with Acheron, making Acheron + Mortenax Blade a powerful Nihility team.

Extra: Fugue and The Dahlia

Honkai Star Rail The Dahlia

The characters mentioned earlier are all universal supports, while these two are dedicated supports for Broken teams. Other teams do not need them, but Broken teams cannot do without them. Therefore, their strength cannot be directly compared with universal supports; their effectiveness depends entirely on whether you play a Broken team.

Summary

Nihility supports are generally not very popular in Honkai: Star Rail. Unless a team specifically requires a Nihility character, players might still prefer Harmony, Remembrance, or Elation supports. However, Mortenax Blade truly represents the ultimate form of a Nihility support, combining both support capabilities and damage output, making him completely viable on the field. So, which Nihility support characters do you often play?
